How to Celebrate the Start of Spring After an Unseasonably Warm Winter:
Exchange your red and white throw blanket for your pale pink one.
Listen to the birds. In the absence of real ones, listen to bird song ambiance.
Go for walks on sunny days.
Remember that some good things have changed. The flowers might survive, now that frosty nights have (mostly) ended.
But don’t put away your winter coat, yet. You should know by now not to do that til May.
Watch cottagecore on youtube.
Crack the window open. The flies are worth it.
Nudge your houseplants an inch closer to the window so they, too, are informed it’s spring.
Take out your dusty watercolor palette.
Read regency romance novels (or whatever you like) on a bench.
Sitting on a bench, in general, is a very spring-like thing to do.
Remember that even though the weather isn’t so different from that 60-degree day in February, now that it is spring, it finally makes sense.
Enjoy every moment where something makes sense.
